Tomato Consumption May Reduce The Risk Of Prostate Cancer

Consumption of tomato products may reduce the risk of prostate cancer considerably, a recent study has shown. After a long research, doctors have finally become successful in isolating the "FruHis", an organic carbohydrate equipped with requisite resistance power to fight against the prostate cancer. The FruHis has been synthesized from the dehydrated tomatoes.

The new clinical finding will, of course, increase consumption of tomato and it’s derivatives worldwide. Without any early symptom, the prostate cancer becomes active and causes a potential health hazard at the older ages, particularly after the age of 50. So, honoring the finding, if you start taking tomato products from now onwards, there are great chances that you may avoid encountering prostate cancer.

Relationship of prostate cancer with the tomato has yet not been established absolutely in the context of human body. But, the preliminary observations made on other living creatures using tomatoes under sustained clinical research curriculums have shown encouraging results. Of course, till the time FruHis, tomato, prostate cancer and human being are not becoming coherently interrelated, doctors may love to stay clear off the debate and nothing concrete can be advised, said a health expert.

Before conducting any medicinal trial on human body, it is imperative to test them on animals several times and on finding satisfactory outputs, restricted trials of the same is permitted over human body. Commenting about the new research, Valeri Mossine of University of Missouri said “this study was conducted in a rat model, and you cannot possibly draw any conclusions for people”.

Earlier also, tomatoes had been figured as effective cancer fighting food products, but before this study, exact element of tomato having with the cancer fighting ability was not known. With the isolation of FruHis, experiments on cancer and it’s remedial measures will certainly achieve new momentum in the coming days, as observed by a cancer specialist. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) of United States has yet not agreed on the stated medicinal values of tomato.
